Nowhere reminds me that there’s really nowhere to go. There’s nowhere to get to. There’s nowhere that I should be. I’m already there.
There’s nowhere you need to be other than exactly where you are right now. Nowhere could be better than where you are in this moment.
Why can’t you relax? Do you feel guilty if you sleep in? Do you have a hard time simply sitting still doing NOTHING?
The majority of adults do. At least in most Western cultures where things like “ambition” and “accomplishment” and the accumulation of wealth are prioritized above all else. These have become the measures of success – so often at the expense of joy and reward, and peace! The irony.
Whenever we are feeling defensive, it is for one reason only. It is because we are believing that we are inadequate or at fault and that that inadequacy or guilt is being discovered. And we can live free from all of that.

There is no problem with this world; the only problem is the way I see it.
Become the person who doesn’t interpret the world problematically, but rather opportunistically. And then there no longer is a “wrong side of the bed”.
I actually agree with the comment, “Don’t get your hopes up.” But for a contrary reason. This is one of the most profound and popular lies being propagated today – that there’s a problem with not getting what you want. So to avoid the hurt that comes with that, lower your expectations and be less hopeful. Twisted.
So what’s an affirmation, anyway? A nice flowery little phrase? A sweet little jingle that’s gonna make everything alright? If I can just keep reciting it every day it’ll come true! Right. That’s a very popular lie…
