The Lesson:
We do not live in a happening TO ME world. We live in a happening FOR ME world.
The learning here is to be cool with the fact that we have all been well educated to play victim. We get to unlearn that and return to our natural creator mentality. We can only do that when we take complete ownership of our states.
When I can practice loving everything that life throws at me – not just coping with it, but LOVING it – then I can excellence in every circumstance.
The Practice:
1. Stop complaining. It makes you stupid. Replace your complaints with expressions of legitimate gratitude.
2. Stop assigning credit or blame to anyone or anything outside of you for your emotional states. Practice taking complete ownership that you are solely responsible for your interpretations of reality and therefore also all of your emotional states.
Mantras:
I live in a happening FOR ME world.
Every set of circumstances can be created from if viewed masterfully.
Many years ago I took a trip to Cabo that turned into an unexpected journey of rapid, deep personal transformation.
This post is one of sixteen excerpts of a piece of writing that I did, that was inspired by this magical experience.
Each “chapter” contains a lesson that can be categorized as a lesson in Mental Toughness, personal development, or spiritual growth.
These chapters have been organized into three segments: the Lesson theory, a Practice, and relevant Mantras to help you in your own journey.
