How to Awaken Your SPIRIT | The Mental Toughness Coach - Chris Dorris

How to Awaken Your SPIRIT

Several years ago, I was a contributor to an online Acadamy that was called Entheos. I recorded several classes, each of which is about a half hour long. I’ve decided to recycle these now as blog posts because the content is really good, and I wanted to share it with you.

I love the word “entheos” because interestingly that is the Greek root of the word “enthusiasm.” Entheos means the creator within, and when we activate the state of enthusiasm, we’re activating all forms of creative genius.

I hope you find this content useful and enjoyable, and as always, CREATE MIRACLES!

In this video I share the practices, constructs and paradigm shifts of some of the world’s greatest minds– on how to BE IN (alignment with your) SPIRIT. Let’s jump in!

How to Awaken Your SPIRIT

Many of the world’s spiritual teachers are in agreement that as a race, we humans are poised for an impending quantum leap in consciousness. Some research indicates that the fastest growing culture on the planet today is what can be referred to as the “Conscious Creatives”. These are the people who are intrinsically inspired to explore and develop their spirit, who are interested in raising their consciousness and who are interested in bringing true peace and justice to the world.

My lifework – my calling and vocation – is to accelerate the rate at which we approach and arrive at this “tipping point”, when it becomes entirely uncool all of a sudden to NOT be deeply invested in developing your spirit and contributing to the world. At that time, the practice of raising ones consciousness will become epidemic (much like the en*theos movement is at the time of this writing). So in the spirit of developing your spirit I’ve put together a course on how to awaken your spirit. Did I mention spirit?

I’m about to share with you some (ten to be exact) of the most profound ideas, practices, constructs and paradigm shifts that I’ve accumulated through my studies across the globe with some of the world’s greatest minds – some truly enlightened folks – on how to BE IN (alignment with your) SPIRIT. I’ve arranged these 10 ideas in the format of an acronym: B.E.I.N.S.P.I.R.I.T. So let’s jump in…

1. Being

Simply being. We are not human beings having a spiritual experience. We are spiritual beings having a human experience. And when we are capable of exiting the stories that we’ve created about reality, and permit ourselves to simply be, then we experience pure bliss. Then we are capable of experiencing reality as it is, versus experiencing it through the thick lenses of the conditioning of our pasts.

2. Enlighten Up!

Lightness of being is intelligent. Feeling light in spirit activates all intelligence centers of the brain. Not only does lightness of being feel blissful, but it has us be masterful at all we do, and thus, has us manifest our desires with virtual effortless ease.

3. Isness

Great word, huh? One of my favorite mantras is, “Ain’t bad – Just Is.” Now the rest of that mantra could be, “Ain’t good either.” And that’s just how isness is. It’s the business of isness. Nothing good or bad happens until you think it so. Everything just IS until we interpret it. And our conditioning would have us interpret so much of reality in very disastrous ways. Stop it.

4. (I)Nner World Creates the Outer World

(I’m taking some literary liberty there, as one of my favorite things to do is to break rules!) Another of the great mantras: “The outer world is a reflection of the inner world.” In other words, what I’ve got going on in my life is the direct reflection of what I have going on in my mind.

5. Synchronicity

As Einstein approached the end of his life, he was deeply troubled by his intuitive hit that there was a flaw in Relativity Theory. He was right. We’ll discuss exactly what his successors discovered. Also, we’ll examine those freakishly weird coincidences and how you are co-creating them all. Way cool.

6. Peace

One of my favorite definitions of Enlightenment is: the ability to choose peace amidst chaos. And the operative word there is “choose”. Peace isn’t “created”, it’s selected, or chosen. You can do nothing to create peace. It already exists. You don’t have to go to all that work! We’ll discuss how to choose it.

7. Intention

Your life unfolds according to the way that you think. Inherent within your desires are the mechanics for their own fulfillment. The “how” is in the “what.” What you think and what you feel and what manifests is always a match. Trust the power of your intentions.

8. Relationship

Here we’ll explore our relationship to everything as well as to each other. When we can remember that we are inextricably connected to all that is, then we cannot suffer. All human suffering stems back to the illusion of the separate self. And here I’ll share with you an ancient practice that involves replacing acknowledging differences with recognizing sameness. Through the mirror of relationships I see myself.

9. Impermanence

Nothing lasts forever. It’s the nature of the universe. So our options are to either be cool with that or to struggle against it.

10. Trust

For 15 billion years this universe has been unfolding with flawless choreography. Flawlessness. Noerrors. Ever. If you can see that, and remember it, then you’ll be able to trust that everything is unfolding as it should and you can stop worrying. Completely.
