A Room With a View - The Mental Toughness Coach - Chris Dorris

A Room With a View

Beauty in this world is ever-present. It’s a constant. It’s always there for us to enjoy and participate in.
What varies, however, is our inner view – our emotional state. And that inner view completely governs the outer view or how we see and experience the world.
The best news is that we each have the ability to profoundly alter our inner view in a moment’s time so we can always have “an amazing view.”

Gives “Be the state” new meaning! Thanks Chris!

    • The Mental Toughness Coach says:

Yeah, Man. Our emotional states completely govern how we show up in life. And we get to completely govern our states.

Chris- Had a similar challenge in Bahamas. After 3 days of barking dogs next to our beachfront place, I chose to let go. What other choice did I have?

    • The Mental Toughness Coach says:

You definitely had another choice, Don! And it’s a very popular one. You could have chosen to be a victim of circumstance and had it continue to be problematic. I’m glad you didn’t make that choice.

Hey Chris, Love this one as it is just so true. For me what has been really helpful is not to fight the low mood thinking that disrupts my ability to see the magic. It is just to know that that is what is happening and let it go. It is amazing to me how quickly once I ‘see’ my unhelpful thinking and acknowledge it as being totally made up it starts to fade and new/fresh/helpful thoughts appear and the world looks totally different 🙂
P.S. When is the book coming out!?

    • The Mental Toughness Coach says:

That’s a really profound way of articulating the point here, Al. Brilliant.

The book is complete. Will be available maybe as early as next week – ie, the week of October 11!
