Mental Prep

The #1 mistake people make in the pursuit of excellence? Waiting. We wait for good results before we let ourselves experience the internal states that render greatness.

Create the state – don’t wait.

Before you engage in any important event or performance, take a few moments and intentionally put yourself into a super solid state of mind. Get fired up. Get relaxed. Get focused. Get certain. Get into your expert self. Choose to get great – before your gig even starts. It’s what the greats do.

Create the state. Don’t wait.

Well said Chris, it was inspired action preceded only by my decision to follow my passion that ultimately has lead to my purpose in life. Thank you for your article.

  3. LifeCoach says:

I remember reading a book with the title “The waiting”. I forgot who the author is but not what the book is about of course, there is line which says “do not wait for the sake of waiting”. Can’t help but relate the book to this blog.

Thanks for that – is your name Christy? (I’, assuming that from your email address, but I could be wrong.) I’ve not heard of that book. Is it the same message? That we’ve been conditioned to wait to create the lives we desire?
