TOUGH TALKS: Garrett Richards, Converting Adversity Into Fuel

Garrett Richards is one of Major League Baseball’s best starting pitchers. He plays for the San Diego Padres and, at the time of this recording, was recovering from Tommy John surgery.

Garrett is one of the more humble professional athletes you can meet and he is also one of the most resilient. He has had several reasons to cave, but instead, he decides to take the “roadblocks” and use them as fuel from which to grow. Our interview was recorded live at our favorite Craft Beer House/Sports Bar, The Hungry Monk in Chandler, AZ where he and I actually first met about 9 years ago. Enjoy.
