  1. I worked with Al for years with the USSS in the Honolulu field office and in various locations in Asia. He was my best friend in the office since Al & I shared a sense of humor ( we used to do comedy skits for office parties) , shared a work & workout ethic,( trained together in Jiu Jitsu) & had a similar healthy diet & conservative political perspective. Most of all what you see is what you get with Al, as the Aussies say he was a “fair dinkum” straight shooter & a loyal friend. They don’t make guys like Al Zygo any more.

Oh, Man, I bet you have some good stories, then, Terry!!! Al and the Zygos have hosted me at least 15 times at their Hawaii Kai home. I love that fam. Al is one of the funniest and smartest and coolest and most interesting people I have ever met. Thanks for your comment here, Terry. I’ll make sure he sees it.

  2. Alan Zygowicz is a true American Hero. I’m proud to have served with him in the Secret Service.

Amen to that, John! I appreciate you taking the time to post such a kind comment here. I will make sure Al sees it!

I served with Zygo in the USSS. Great guy and a great agent! I consider Al a close friend and as I was listening to his story, I realized that he and I have never discussed our Vietnam service. Although I knew he flew in combat, I had no idea of all the close calls he had. Zygo will always remain a quiet and reluctant hero.

And thank you for bringing his story to a public forum.
